What's behind a smile on a face?
Human Social Interaction is the topic.
this is not all a simple subject...
or else, y psychology? y sociology?
Meeting someone new...
all on our own...
umm like in a school club w/o anyone there to introduce us.
1st, we want to look attractive to draw other people's interest upon us.
afterall, we human ARE vision animals.
what is on the outside tells our brains a lot about whats in the inside.
no, its not "shallow." we are JUST biologically, geneticaly GEARED to react that way!
2nd, we want to sound familiar to the others, make them feel comfortable.
generally, people tend to be more attracted to familiarity rather than uncertainity.
and nobody would be attracted to someone who makes them feel uncomfortable.
3rd, we want to leave them a good impression, so there will be a next time.
the power of first impression!
I dunno.
thats just what pop in my head after going to a big club meeting.
People make me think. make me paranoid.
---
so that was for people in RL.
then lets talk about WOW ppl. LOL
ppl on wow.
when u meet friends in a game like wow... its no-shittly much less complicated!
u dont like someone?
u /ignore him
u like someone?
u /friend them, /ginvite them.
people up in the game ALREADY share the same passion with you - the game!
the reason why you want to be friends with someone would be MUCH less complicated than the reaons why you would want to be friends with someone in Real Life!
on wow, u become friends with them coz u want them to raid with u, slay a dragon with u.
in real life, u become friends with them coz u want to get laid, meet more people thru them, find your soul mate, gain more social power, get connections... etcetc.
For wow. once u reach LvL 60.. a raid could take up to 6 hours.
many wowers play everyday.
spend much time in a fictional world.
a world where everyone looks either funny/attractive.
"physical" appearance in that world does not matter.
once "appearance" is not a factor anymore...
people's "in group/out group" section becomes much less complicated, in my opinion:
as long as u "learn to play."
people like you.
In RL,
well.. i guess
as long as you "learn to play" ur soical game
people like you too
but.. the "learn to" is much harder than wow.. where thotbot.com is soo handy!
